[DeTomaso] fan question

HP equals heat. So, yup, upgrades don't help cool the car.

I highly recommend the aluminum radiators with dual fans offered by Pantera Performance. Our engine dyno'd at 485 hp - Pantera Performances radiator works perfectly.

I wonder if the fact my engine is a 408 with a different camshaft and other upgrades has any effect on how hot it runs.

Here's a weird one...

My fan relay melted, and I believe the problem was a dead spot in the very old SPAL fans. I bought brand new fans and relays. All good now.

And, mine only come on when the engine is hot. I totally agree with Mike. If you have to run your fans at 35mph+, you have other problems.

Btw - I'm in the Miami area - which gets pretty hot in the summer.

Scott,

Out of curiosity, do you also drive with your headlights on at all times? :) :) :)
