[DeTomaso] McLeod Pressure Plate - Old and New / Advice Removing Pilot Bushing

I had the same issue with pulling pilot bearings, so I ground the tips down on a pilot bearing puller just enough to fit behind the bearing. It works great on needle bearings and no grease, TP or bread to deal with.
