 Bummer. Yes, hopefully the Pantera is not significantly damaged. And sad about the Chevron. I really like those cars.

So,

Partway through the third and final race heat in Plateau 5, a Chevron B21 stopped at the entrance to the Porsche curves, completely engulfed in flames. The fiberglass body was fully involved. The session was red flagged. 

When the cars went back out on track, the red Gr4 Pantera exited the pits and immediately started pouring smoke from the engine. As it passed under the Dunlop bridge and out of sight, flames could be seen spouting from the Weber carbs. 

The PA is in both French and English. I didn’t understand the French description of events and the subsequent English version was drowned out by closely packed cars on track. 

But the Pantera is definitely out.  Hopefully damage is minimal….
