Or install a bulkhead reduction kit that moves the alternator down and outboard of the AC compressor, thus eliminating the alternator hump in the firewall cover.

Hi,

 

I use Recaros from the 80's (common in sport versions of VW Rabbit and Opel Manta).
I reupholstered them as stock seats.
Note, To allow the passenger seat to go all the way back, some tuning must be done to the left side of the seat.
