There were 4 series with 2 different early mounting solutions for these Engine shrouds and screens.

Larry, I once bought a bundle of 3 screens that were smashed flat in
long term storage. You install the side pieces and shape the easily
bent screens by hand to fit. Note that early cars use one width screen
(including both the screen-only and screen-with-solid-center), and
post-'80s cars are narrower so don't interchange, even though they look
the same. You can laboriously reshape the outer ends of the left &
right side pieces to force a fit but its time consuming, fiddly sheet
metal trimming. I wouldn't have bothered except the screen was plated.
Was trying to fit an early screen-only to a GT-5s.

       All,
A fellow PCNC member bought a car missing all three engine covers.
Early car with no outside fuel door.
I have on hand an early RH side cover and two early center screens.
I have located a seller with the LH early side cover.
I just retrieved my two screens from one of my sheds, and while I knew
their curvatures were tweaked a little bit, I discovered there were
apparently two different a|.lengthsa|. of the full-screen center
       cover????
Yes, I know they each have a different curvature (damaged?), but even
if the curvatures were matched the lengths would still be different.
Both screens attach to the side covers with sheet metal screws, which
       is the early style.
I also have a fuel door LH side cover that matches the short screen,
but only because the lip on that side cover has been removed.
If the lip was still in place it would match the long screen.
I think what this is telling us is there were two versions (lengths) of
the all-screen center; an early short, all-screen center for no fuel
door cars, a different long, all-screen center for early atransitiona
cars with fuel door, and finally a long, raised center screen for late
       fuel-door cars.
I think I have a late fuel-door-version LH side cover that was trimmed
to fit an early short all-screen center cover.
       Confused? Yeah, so am I.
I am now concerned that the LH side cover offered for sale could be
either a short (early car) or a long (transition) version.
Anyone have any wisdom on the different lengths?
       TIA,
       Larry
