[DeTomaso] Gas Pedal Effort/Feel

Jeff,

No, it doesn’t. The image shows the clutch and brake pedal springs. The gas pedal is completely different and doesn’t have one.

As an aside, the vast majority of cars have broken gas and clutch pedal springs. They are wholly unnecessary and their loss goes unnoticed.

I fixed it by adjusting the pedal stop but the feel is still light. The cable appears to be original and I replaced the single spring at the carb with a dual spring. This did not change the pedal feel but did help in having an improved and more consistent idle speed. I am now wondering if replacing what appears to be the original spring at the pedal would give me a firmer/stronger effort pedal ? If so where can these springs be sourced ?
