Hey!
Looking to store some stuff without having to deal with county rascals any longer......they win.....I win..... No permits needed and no property taxes on "temporary storage"!
Have any of you dealt with someone honest and reputable in purchasing any storage containers????? These places seem to be a den of snakes...... several ads in various cities.....different phone numbers....but they all funnel back to the same answering machine!!! Great pictures.....but when asked about newer "drive thru" containers and refrigerated (not working) containers......conversation goes sideways...... Then there's the bunch that is located back east somewhere that also "has everything" but yet it will come from a local distributor......hah!!! Interesting thing thus far is that all of these groups magically have pricing within a couple hundred dollars of the next guy.....no matter where they are located!!! ???
I'm looking to get a "1-trip" 40' unit which will hold two cars and a minor amount of BS. There are newer "drive thru" versions of the 40 that have double doors on each end. I'd have two roll up side doors put in so that you can actually open the car door to get in/out without wanging the door edges all to heck!
The two I want are 20' units, with additional height (9'6") "Hi Cube"....this is where a non working refer comes in nice, as they are lined and insulated! Keep your shite cool!!! The insulated ones may be harder to come by in the HiCube style........but they are out there. These can accommodate the tall Orchard Supply shelving units I have for general parts 4-sale storage, and segregated project car parts storage.....and anything else I don't want to trip over in my shop!
The last bit I laugh at is the proclamation that "the storage container shortage is over"....?????? Wasn't I just watching in the news that LA was so inundated with storage containers piling out of the backed up ships that businesses were simply dumping containers on the streets of LA (and surrounding....)????? More like perhaps the GLUT of containers has waned.......
Anyway, would be interested in hearing from you if you have a good source that worked well for you!!!
Cheers!
Steve
