[DeTomaso] Cooling fan light

If a diode is to be the solution, then a Schottky diode reduces that 
loss to 3-4% compared to the 10% of a silicon diode.
They cost a lot more, but that's $0.75 instead of $0.07
That would be SBX3040-3G 
<https://www.digikey.com/en/products/detail/diotec-semiconductor/SBX3040-3G/13154204> 
for 30A fan current and 40V reverse-voltage blocking.
That's just one example of hundreds.
