[DeTomaso] Correct amount of oil for an Armondo 10 qt pan.

I saw the Engine Masters tv show as well. It certainly looks like it would
be something you'd want to test if you you could.

Based on what I'm reading, the only thing that an engineer would care about
is the distance of the oil level when the engine isn't running to the
bottom of the crank. He would then adjust based on how much is actually in
the engine when running and to account for the oil sloshing around in the
pan that could cause foaming. And maybe something else that real engineer
would know about. Empirically, that's got to be the answer.

My 10 quarter takes maybe 8.5 quarts to show full on the dipstick.

I saw the Engine Masters tv show as well. It certainly looks like it
would be something you'd want to test if you you could.A

Based on what I'm reading, the only thing that an engineer would care
about is the distance of the oil level when the engine isn't running to
the bottom of the crank. He would then adjust based on how much is
actually in the engine when running and to account for the oil sloshing
around in the pan that could cause foaming. And maybe something else
that real engineer would know about. Empirically, that's got to be the
   answer.A

My 10 quarter takes maybe 8.5 quarts to show full on the dipstick.A

     Chris,
     Yours is an excellent question.
*IF* the pan was a 10-quart pan then your strategy would be sound.
However empirical testing has revealed that they are more like 8.5-9
quarts. Why they are called 10-quart pans is anybodyas guess.
     Enjoy the wedding!
