Thanks. The chip is pretty small, and I managed to buff it so that
it's only noticeable to fanatics such as me...:)
I'm going to try some weaker struts to see if I can find that perfect
   balance.
   Sincerely,
   Chris

Sorry to hear about the paint chipping Chris. I saw your Pantera at
the PNW vintage races on Saturday. It looked GREAT : ) My stock
deck shocks have gotten weak but I simply fashioned a piece of 3/4" PVC
pipe with rubber stops on each end to hold up the deck lid when
needed. Cheap, simple and effective. Mike R.

Chris, Doug and I noticed that when we saw your car at Keith's last
Friday. The struts have too much force for what you need. Sorry to
hear the paint has chipped. Most of the vendors stock a replacement
cartridge with a proper strength for a non-wing decklid. Try Dennis
Quella, Larry Stock or Steve Wilkinson.

That's frustrating, if the deck lid was aligned well for panel gap all
round and closing consider switching to the IPSCO kit that relocates
the shocks and the force point.

Thanks. The chip is pretty small, and I managed to buff it so that
it's only noticeable to fanatics such as me...:)
I'm going to try some weaker struts to see if I can find that
   perfect
      balance.
      Sincerely,
      Chris

Sorry to hear about the paint chipping Chris. I saw your Pantera at
the PNW vintage races on Saturday. It looked GREAT : ) My stock
deck shocks have gotten weak but I simply fashioned a piece of 3/4"
   PVC
pipe with rubber stops on each end to hold up the deck lid when

That's frustrating, if the deck lid was aligned well for panel gap
   all
round and closing consider switching to the IPSCO kit that relocates
the shocks and the force point.
