[DeTomaso] Front spindle tolerance

Ah, I misinterpreted what you were asking. Personally, I wouldn't worry too much about 2.5 thousand's on a taper bearing inner race that isn't a press fit. I'd install the new bearings and check with the wheel on for any movement in the 6-12 o'clock plane.

Julian,
No, I have all new bearings and races to install.
I'm looking for the spindle OD tolerance. Not sure if that spindle is ok with that much ware.

It's a $25 bearing, if in any doubt I'd replace it, you are halfway there already...

Does anyone know the tolerance for Pantera front spindle small bearing OD? I have one that mics out at .7465 when measured 6 to 12 o'clock (top to bottom) and .749 when measured from 3 to 9 o'clock with some minor discoloration. The large bearing area of my spindles seem to be evenly .001 under the bearing ID which is what I expected to see.
I run track days once in a while so want this to be well within spec.
Thanks,
George
