Meziere caters to a niche market with their starter. 
It has a 3.1:1 gear reduction as opposed to the usual 3.75:1 to 4.89:1.
That's how they crank at such a high rotational speed. Naturally, this
requires a more powerful electric motor, as it doesn't have the advantage of
a large gear reduction.
