[DeTomaso] Best tool for AN fittings?

Dear Ken,

My experience with the Summit (Chinese) braided hose cutters has been good. They work as expected. I have fabricated roughly three sets of Pantera fuel lines without any problems.

                               Warmest regards, Chuck Engles

 Thanks Julian,
The cutoff wheel seems to be an accepted approach, just not sure I won't find a way to screw it up. I did pretty good at math and physics in college, but lousy at anything similar to art.

I'm looking for an approach that is turn key and really hard to screw up. If this tool is fool proof, it might be worth the price. I have read reviews of similar tools that only made one or a few cuts and the blades dulled. Just wondering if the Allstar took has really good steel blades that can make a large number of cuts without dulling.

   Ken,

I don't have any special tools, just electrical tape and a cutoff
  wheel.

  Thanks Julian,
How about braided SS hose cutters? People seem to like the Allstar
  Performance ALL11000:

but a little pricy. Seems like clean cuts are the best way to make
  life easier.

Before being labeled "Made in the USA", a product must meet certain

  It
requires that a product contain 95% American material and labor.

Can I believe Summit that these are really made in the US? I don't
mind paying more to help manufacturing jobs here.

They all seem to be aluminum, but I think they can still scratch
  the
anodizing. There are adjustable "crescent" type wrenches with wide
surfaces that look like they may be better:

Then a good pair of vice jaws:

Just wondering if anyone has experience with similar tools.

Is there something that doesn't scratch the anodizing?
