[DeTomaso] Fuel Pickup Sock

All,

I’m installing a Sniper unit so I’m drawing fuel threw the drain at the bottom.  The return is going into a modified filler neck.  I’m capping the fuel pickup line, don’t know if I’ll ever use it—if the Sniper works, it’s not likely.  I’m installing a new fuel pickup/sending unit.   Should I remove the sock because it’s probably not of much use with external filters and because it might deteriorate, or leave it?
