[DeTomaso] Interesting Headers

Okay, maybe some self-deprecation here, but -that- is probably how I
would have built one 40 years go, being young and stupid. I loved
electronics. This has a Cassette deck -separate- from the radio head
(both installed on the right most part of the dash). A CB hidden under
dash. A separate equalizer in the center console along with what I can
only guess is some other kind of amplifier/balancer control where the
radio normally goes.
Some owner fancied themself a racer (like that doesn't describe me
either) and put a roll bar in, albeit apparently a very poor one. They
also installed a t-handle replacement for the shift knob with a
line-lock in it for holding the line at the drag strip. Kind of ugly to
see that wire hanging out one side and being pinched under the shift gate.
The Fuel system is all carb, with Nitrous plumbing. Unfortunately no
room for air filters unless you shorten the stacks. Of all the things
on this car, I feel like I'd be paying $85K for how nice the front trunk
looks. The rest is a shabby at this point, though very recoverable in
the right hands.
It appears to have old tires, original undercar cooling tubes and who
knows what else mechanically is still original and in need of some TLC.
The zoomies are an interesting touch. I think I have a small poster
somewhere with the same thing on it. Though I doubt it's the same car
it's possible it could be.
No thank you, not interested. But then, I'm more an L-model kind of guy. ;)
