[DeTomaso] Charlie needs a thrust plate!

Apparently all Ford V-8 engines use a hardened cast iron thrust limiting plate for their flat tappet camshafts. Not sure about the straight 6 or V-6 engines Since the nose sections of the various blocks all have somewhat different designs, the 351-C/429/460 engines use one thrust plate design while the 289/302/351W series use a different type. Danny Bee Racing makes a roller thrust bearing plate as well as a unique low friction bronze thrust plate. Sadly, the bronze one is no longer offered for the Cleveland & 429/460 big blocks but there is one for Windsor blocks.

Ken recommended a thrust plate from an Australian manufacturer. I just checked and this apparently is a regularly stocked item by Tim Meyer, right here in the good all USA.
