[DeTomaso] Firewall bolts

As Mike correctly stated in the first part of his reply, seat belts are pretty much universally a 7/16-20 fine thread, which is almost an exact fit for an M11 and maybe where confusion has ensued over the years. There are different shoulder lengths used so the bolt bottoms but doesn't' prevent the seat belt anchor from rotating, although I have heard early cars had no shoulder and pinned the mount tight to the bulkhead.

There are lots of options if you search for a 7-16-20 seat belt bolt.

Why one can easily find taps but not bolts is certainly a mystery.

But………. Mike, you are now certainly old enough to realize that you should never say never. :-)

Actually, head bolt applications seem to have multiple manufacturers now utilizing M11 bolts.

We now return you to your normal program.
