Guys,

Beautiful car for sale here. I had to remove pics to get it past the forum firewall but it is a red Pre-L with blacked out trim. Pics in the registry of course. Contact Jeff if interested….

>> Thought I’d check in and see if you knew anyone interested in my 1972 Pantera before I consign for Monterey. The car has been accepted by Gooding & RM which are great venues, but would prefer to sell directly if a buyer surfaces. I’ll take $95K plus your finder’s fee if the deal comes soon, otherwise I’ll commit to one of the auction houses. I would think this is a fair price for a California car of this quality and desirable production number, would you agree? Photos and description provided. Please let me know your thoughts. Thank you

>> This 1972 DeTomaso Pantera was purchased from the third owner in 2012, and currently has 52,000 original miles. Sold new at McLures Lincoln Mercury in Anaheim California, and has never been outside of California's dry moderate climate except for its Italian origin in 1972. ALL numbers are correct as per the Marti Report, motor, chassis, and ZF transaxle numbers all match. The interior is original, dash, seats, door panels, console, headliner, steering wheel, gauges, & radio. Minor trim pieces have been replaced with original materials on the seats, otherwise they’re all original as well. The exterior color was red from the factory and this car is the exact and correct shade of red confirmed by the color sample provided by the DeTomaso factory in Italy.
>>
>> The 351 Cleveland Super Cobra Jet runs strong and tight with all original components down to the air cleaner. The original carburetor was restored and the engine heads freshened. The engine compartment is restored to original. New Bridgestone tires mounted on reproduction 17” front & 18” rear wheels continue an authentic look, but provide performance handling characteristics. The wheel builder “Wilkinson Pantera”was granted permission by the DeTomaso factory to re-design the original Campagnolo wheel pattern into 17” & 18” rims. The original 15” Goodyear Arriva tires are mounted on the original Campagnolo wheels and are a great addition for displaying the Pantera at a Concours, and are part of the vehicle purchase. Headlamp motors and assemblies along with window motors and assemblies were replaced/rebuilt, and function properly. A new Fluidyne radiator with lay down kit and sucker fans along with an Edlebrock high output water pump were installed. Original radiator components come with the car. A new clutch assembly, fly wheel, dual disc manufactured by McCleod Racing were installed. New heater hoses were replaced in the cabin and throughout. All maintenance is current and has been performed in a “preventative” manner. Original tool kit, technical service manual & tub accompany the car. This car is an extremely low maintenance example and is California smog exempt.

>> #3939 drives wonderfully, sounds amazing, and is a seductive sight! A splendid blend of well preserved original condition and quality restoration.
