                My experience with a bone stock original Pantera L modifications for my height:

               1) remove the approximately 1/2-3/4" spacers (4) under the seat rails.  Better, but not enough.
               2) cut strips of carpet and padding directly under the seat rails to put them directly on the metal floor.  Better , but not enough.
               3)  obtain an abused Pantera seat and take it to a custom aircraft upholsterer with directions for a frame up project adding some lumbar support and using the thinnest, modern seat foam available covered by material closely resembling the stock material.  Finally, success.

               Success means I can sit upright and just get my fingers between the cabin roof and the top of my head.  Wearing a race helmet requires a compromise slump/slouch to fit in, which led to the next project.

                Plan B: a custom all aluminum racing seat to my and the Pantera's specifications was fabricated. It uses padding thin 1/2 inch medical seat foam.   With it bolted to the floor, I have plenty of room on the street and just *barely* enough room with a helmet and the compromise slump/slouch is much less that with the custom stock seat.

               Lowered floor pans obviously work, but I was not keen to go that far.  I did sit in a factory GT5 about thirty years ago and was amazed by the headroom.

              Finally, I know that there are at least a handful or more of us in POCA and it can be done,  the only method that works for everyone is the lowered floor pan.  Other than that, the less profound options can be utilized.
