[DeTomaso] spare tire/wheel

My recommendation is simply “don’t”. 

There is no place to put a full sized wheel and tire in the car. So, if you get a flat and install the spare, do you plan to leave the flat and the wheel on the side of the road and drove away?  Of course not. 

So, you will get a tow truck in any case. So no need for a spare….
