[DeTomaso] To drop or not

 I will add my opinion FWIW ...
I am just over 6 feet.  With stock seats, I fit no problem.To get more headroom, I:1) Removed the aluminum spacer blocks that hold up the seat tracksand,2) Trimmed the floor insulation following the seat track outline.  So that there is only carpet between the seat track and the seat pan (metal)Finally, I installed unmodified RECAROs and still have enough headroom.
In my view, if you are not going to race the car ... no need to drop the floor pans.If you are considering racing the car (i.e. roll bar and helmet) then dropping the floor pans maybe a good idea.
