[DeTomaso] ??Oil for hyd-roller engine?

I am also an Amsoil fan, having switched from Brad Penn some years ago, mostly due to spotty availability, but also the Amsoil is a full synthetic.
I would talk to your engine builder and ask what tolerances he built the engine to, 20/50 sounds pretty viscous given your CA location. I use a 15/40 here in NV. You could get some of the Brad Penn 5/30 or 10/30 and blend out the 20/50 rather than have to let it go cheap.

loved it. You've got some good oil there; I remember the testimonies
about the Brad Penn green on this forum from years ago. No reason not
to use it.
