[DeTomaso] FW: BaT Auctions Listing Ends in 1 hour: 1989 DeTomaso Pantera GT5-S

I think that was close to market for this GT5-S personally, add the $5k buyer premium, $3k in correct tires and +$5k to correctly address the decklid and you are at ~$185k.

There are GT5-S cars for sale elsewhere (both in the US and Europe) for similar money and I know of one recent US sale for considerably less. Everyone gets stuck on the high water mark a couple cars fetched at auction, but the market has changed and $175-200k is about where it's at right now for a top quality 5S for those that need to sell.

Was only bid to $171K.  I thought it would at least go to $200.  Not sure how much better they could have presented it short of installing the correct tires, repairing the rear decklid to fill the vents and restore the leading edge from the cutout for Webber’s, also restore the engine cover and get rid of that unnecessarily over-sized K&N air filter.
