A lot of the aftermarket drop battery boxes I have sen are a stainless steel enclosed box, but that is overkill IMO and doesn’t provide anywhere for heat to dissipate. 

My factory drop battery box on the GT5 is nothing more than a cradle, open front and back with a plate that covers the hole. As discussed in another thread the battery negative connects directly to the dash ground post, so you want to retain a connection to that or relocate to exit below the front trunk (I cannot bring myself to call it anything else and have visions of James Brown getting up and driving his frunk!)
