He's also pretty far off on Vipers.

How about this:  Most vipers are not driven, so the wheel bearings go out (rust, etc.), brake fluid corrodes, head gaskets and timing chain cover gaskets fail, and cost 4 figures to repair.   Nobody makes replacement windshields, door gaskets, headlights.  The head gaskets on Gen-1s used to be $1,000 for the set.

Oh - and in stock trim, they get 20 mpg, so what's up with the fuel costs concern?  Our mini Cooper gets low 20s.

Don’t get me wrong.  I love my Gen-2, almost as much as I love my Pantera.  I just think he's way off on the description of Viper ownership.

He's also way off on Testarossas.  I drove a 512 TR once, and loved it.  Yes, the maintenance is high, but it's well worth it.  It's certainly not in the "avoid at all costs" bucket.  It should be in the "buy it if you can afford maintenance" bucket.
