Thank you so much Matt. I was trying to think up something that would work. Your idea sounds perfect but we'd both need those machines. Have to do some checking on that. My daughter suggested making a power point with video but that would take me a long time; not sure exactly how I'd work that one out. I really do appreciate your letter and kind words! Laurie

You are a good friend Laurie and I applaud you. Not an easy time for anybody much less a cancer patient. I wish her love, peace and contentment. The second thought I had after reading your post was Virtual Reality.I received an Oculus Go VR contraption for Christmas from my millennial son-n-law.I never would have bought one for myself as it is a product made for Facebook and I try to stay as far away from FB as possible for reasons I won't go into now.But since it was a gift.....My son-in-law already had his own unit so after some initial setup, downloading the app called "Wander with friends" (I think it was a few dollars) and syncing we were strolling on the beach in the same location! He was showing me where they had vacationed in Mexico at a beach side villa. Perhaps her husband is tech savvy and could help set it up on her end. Honestly it was a small hassle setting it up and I don't know if that's practical for her situation maybe due to logistical challenges or cost but it is possible.Once it is setup you can travel the world! It's based on Google street view but is in 3D and gives you a real sense of being there. I almost felt like an intruder at times! It does tend to wear on my old eyes after a certain time so a break is in order now and then and maybe a recharge on the batteries.I don't know but I thought if there was ever a good use for our techy tools, this would be it :-)
Thoughts and prayers to all,Matt

Beautiful job on your benches Mike!
Tinker time for me:
I'm attempting to making a virtual trip to France for a dear friend,
not aged by any means, has her doctorate, co-worker for years back in
the 80's. So sadly was diagnosed last year w/ lung cancer, had surgery
and now it has traveled to her brain. She was given a very short time
even with chemo and radiation. She told me she always had the dream of
going to Europe, especially France (as do I) and couple weeks ago was
telling me she and her husband were going to do this trip. Now with
this travel ban, she can't. So I'm figuring out how to make us a
virtual trip that we can watch together via phone. I'm using the DVD
"Beautiful France" from the film series, "Best of Europe," it is an
amazing DVD. I've had it a long time and have another for her. It's
narrated by Rudy Maxa and filled with amazing historical facts along
with all the incredible scenery. We'll be going to Burgandy, Loire
Valley, Champagne, Bordeaux and Dordogne, Carcassonne and the
Pyrenees. Hope it brings a wee bit of joy, but not easy at such a
time. I should actually use some of Charles McCall and Amaya's great
pictures and stories and all those beautiful castles where they've
stayed.
