[DeTomaso] Stock Ford Mirror Removal

If the screws are Philips head, a trick I saw in Family Handyman magazine was to place a rubber band in between the screwdriver tip and the screw’s Philips head cross.

Also, if you can get to the inside of the door, shoot some penetrating oil at the screws threads and let them sit for a day before you attempt to loosen them.

Question to all. I would like to know how to remove OEM mirrors from 70/71 Torino doors with out stripping out screwhead or braking something? Thanks for any and all help here.
