the 12VDC battery I used was the "break a way brake" from trailer.
If you need a variable resistor, I can try to find one
I was thinking, but haven't gotten around to try, to test the oil pressure sender use some fittings to attach to end of a grease pump with a test pressure gauge

Speaking of gauges, how do you test an oil pressure gauge that is not installed in the car yet? I'm thinking of replacing mine cause it gets fogged up and hot after a while. I have a couple of spares that I got gifted to me so I really don't know if they work.
