[DeTomaso] Oil pressure gauge

Speaking of gauges, how do you test an oil pressure gauge that is not
installed in the car yet?  I'm thinking of replacing mine cause it gets
fogged up and hot after a while. I have a couple of spares that I got
gifted to me so I really don't know if they work.
