[DeTomaso] [EXTERNAL] Re: Holley Sniper EFI ---Any thoughts?

In response to Julian I have to agree. I have a Holley 670 Street Avenger which I had dialed in with the timing in 2008 when I had the engine rebuilt. I've had virtually zero drivability issues related to the carb and it still starts on 1pump/3 cranks from cold and one tap of the key when warm.

Yes, it will run out of the box, but has some compromises to make it a one size fits all package and may benefit from a re-curve of the distributor etc. There is still no substitute for getting your package on a dyno to get everything dialed in, the same goes for a carburetor, which most people just tend to also just bolt on and go without any optimization.

The Sniper is a great replacement for a carburetor. It self programs very quickly and will automatically compensate for altitude changes.....
