[DeTomaso] Rear Glass

One vendor (PPC in Carson CIty NV) has acrylic rear windows in stock. Most plastics are similarly poor conductors of heat & sound. As far as safety protection from fires, the glass rear window is typically the very first casualty of an open flame engine fire, so no real drawback to using plastic. It's also simpler to install since a normal human cannot easily crack plastic. FWIW- J DeRyke

What material has the best acoustic and thermal insulating properties
for the rear window glass.  Mine is cracked and needs replacing.
