Hi Jim,

Jon's stuff is very good.

The fuse panel is a must.

I would also recommend both the headlight switch/motor controller and the ignition switch bypass.

I haven't tried all of Jon's stuff, so no comment doesn’t mean don’t try it.

Outside of that, the best electrical upgrade I did was moving the battery to the engine compartment. It fits nicely on the frame behind the passenger's seat. This makes my starter cable about 2 feet long. It cranks the engine so well, it feels like the battery is oversized about 5x. It is harder to access, but you can run charging posts if you want.

One more thing - I removed all of my wiring, sat it on the garage floor, and cut it all apart. I removed the seat buzzer wiring, plus I found 2 wires that had melted, 1 bad connector at the passenger's headlight, and 1 wire that was corroded inside the insulation. I knew about 1 wire that had melted. That's why I did this in the first place. The bad connector and the corrosion was a surprise.

Will.

       All,

I am in the process of organizing my punch list for future work on
       #6949.

On that list are some electrical items.

For some of those I am considering using some of Pantera Electronics
modules. I am pretty sure the Fuse Panel will be first.

Is anyone willing to share their experiences with this company and its
       products?

Also, although I have not had any wiring issues, should I be
considering more than module replacement in the wiring? I have the
       Alternator replaced with a Voltmeter.

The vehicle was restored and lightly modified (cooling, engine/ZF
rebuild, bare metal repaint, A/C conversion, electronic ignition)
recently but the electrical system was left pretty much alone. I have
other items on my punch list but right now the electrical is working
       its way to the top.

       Thank you,

       Jim Kosloskey #6949 '74 L Yellow
