Dear Julian,
Yup. I have seen those in my searches and they are an option
because, I am told, they'll fit without further dash surgery. It does look
retro, but provides AM/FM and modern connectivity. I presume that it has
passed the Kift family quality testing. Thanks.
Warmest regards, Chuck Engles

Some years ago we retrofitted my son's Dodge Charger with one of the classic
units that has all the modern attributes with an authentic classic look that
matches the original. The unit had multiple outs like USB cord to plug in a
stick of MP3's, bluetooth capability (just in case you ever happen to fall
into the 21st century) etc.
I Can't remember the exact company we purchased from, but a quick search
shows a few outlets, one example;
https://www.classiccarstereos.com/
<https://www.classiccarstereos.com/> Classic Car Radio - Vintage Car Audio
| Classic Car Stereos
Free shipping on classic car radio, speaker, and stereo packages that fit in
your original dash location without having to cut or modify. Modern
technology like Bluetooth but with a classic look.

Dear Forum,
My ancient AM/FM/cassette no longer plays cassettes and,
therefore, the cassette-MP3 adaptor doesn't work and I am left with the
radio. I expect to drive from Oklahoma City to Phoenix and road tunes in
the vast expanse of the great American Southwest would be good.
The nearby car stereo shop knows Panteras and offered what
I wanted, but the modern units require cutting the dash to fit. I was told
that the "chassis" size of the Pantera is no longer manufactured. Sigh.
I was not keen on cutting the dash. They offered the
option of a company that services the owners of classic and vintage
vehicles, Custom Auto Sound, https://customautosoundmfg.com/ . They
offer stereos that fit and have the required functions. They look a bit
retro, but I do think that they could work aesthetically and sonically.
Anyone have any recommendations for my conundrum? Oh, and
no Bluetooth and no smarty phone.
Curious, Chuck Engles
