[DeTomaso] I.D. Brake booster hose??

Larry,

The pipe is 14mm which is slightly larger than 1/2 and smaller than 9/16. I think 1/2 inch is what you want. What do you mean you are ‘striking out’ on that size? 

In the past I found local auto parts stores didn’t carry vacuum hose that large in diameter. It can probably be ordered though. 

Many euro cars use hose of that diameter, although usually it’s in very short lengths so it’s probably usually sold as a molded hose.

The Pantera front hose is 18 inches, rear hose is 5 feet. So 7 feet is what you need. 

Do NOT accept heater hose. It’s not strong enough and will collapse when you step on the pedal, which renders the brakes partially inop. A friend struggled for years with a Pantera with terrible brakes and finally bought a second Pantera and gave up and sold the first one, just because of the brakes. New owner immediately diagnosed improper hose, replaced it with vacuum hose, and fixed it instantly.
