All,

This gizmo was mounted in the rear of Lori’s Pantera #1765 engine bay:

It’s an L-shaped bracket secured to the body with a single bolt, with what appears to be a diode fitted. I THINK this was used to ground the A/C fan motor, which was fitted by Stroppe et al as part of the recall process for the pre-#2000 1971 cars (or thereabouts).

Lori’s A/C wasn’t hooked up or even installed when she got the car.

Can anybody with a #1286-2000 serial number car with the Stroppe mods confirm my theory? I confess I’ve never paid that close attention so I don’t know if this was a Ford kludge or an owner-installed kludge.

Inquiring minds want to know!

Thanks!

Mike
