[DeTomaso] Poly vs. Rubber suspension bushings

We keep shaved upper Ball Joints and Offset Front Urethane bushing kits in stock, together they add about 2-1/2 degrees of caster, to the stock 2 degrees the factory gave us. The set up could use 6-8 degrees of positive caster, but we need to cut and re-weld the Front Upper A-arms to get there.

    Not quite. You can’t easily increase caster with the bushings. But it’s easy to increase caster by simply machining .100” off the back side of the upper front ball joints. I believe Jack DeRyke pioneered this, although I’m not sure. 
    
    I’ve done it on every car I’ve worked on, with great effect.
