[DeTomaso] Hood pin

This reminds me of the time the read deck lid flew off “The Beast” at 170 mph+ along the Silver State Challenge course. And boy did it fly! (There’s more to the story but nothing I should post online).
The deck lid was pushed right through the hood pins. So much force coming up through the engine compartment.
I agree about the rubber “tethers”. I have those on the front lid and it allows it to float an inch or two, letting the air escape.
Junior Wilson did the same on his rear deck lid, for the same reason.
