[DeTomaso] Header mock-up

There's quite a bit of good aftermarket performance information out on the Coyote now, not sure emulating a design for prior generation engines will necessarily produce best results in peak performance. Looks like shorty headers work equally well on the Coyote, which in the available space in a Pantera may be a blessing.

This had a fairly significant effect on the potential parts list, particularly for the Coyote. You can get all the details on the Coyote build here, but some of the key items of interest are the forged Manley Performance pistons (PN 598010-C), the street-friendly set of hydraulic camshafts (Comp Cams Stage 3 XFI NSR – PN 191160), and the Aeromotive billet fuel rails (PN 14130).

Yes, do you have a set of standard (NOT stock) Pantera headers you can emulate? Like Hall headers?

They typically have quite a bit more vertical height to accommodate the forward bends necessary to achieve equal length. Typically the pipe emanating from the rearmost cylinder initially turns forward, before then turning 180 degrees to the rear. This dictates a certain amount of vertical height so the bends aren’t impossibly sharp.

I know there are several other Panteras already running Coyote engines. Somebody is producing headers for them. Why not just get a set of those? You have so much other work that needs doing, I think this problem is best solved with a credit card! :)
