I just saw this post on a Yahoo discussion group:

A message was sent out at 3:45 PM Central time this afternoon that
YahooGroups had announced some major changes in the way they will be hosting
groups in the very near future.
It seems that anything (Apparently EVERYTHING) that is stored on a
YahooGroup group web site will be deleted permanently and no more data will
be accepted from members or group owners after this takes place.
>From My understanding at the present time, this will reduce all YahooGroups
to email reflectors only, with no more:
..	Files
..	Polls
..	Links
..	Photos
..	Folders
..	Calendar
..	Database
..	Attachments
..	Conversations ("Conversations" means messages, stored on the web
page.)
..	Email Updates
..	Message Digest (Those of you on daily digest will no longer receive
email from the group.)
..	Message History (No more archives of messages.)
By using the term "Email Reflector", I mean it sounds like all YahooGroups
will be reduced to only an email address where you can send a message and
have it reflected back to all the members.
As it reads, you will not be able to access the group online to read the
messages, there will be no archives kept.
You will either receive every individual message as it is sent, or you will
not (ever) see the message at all.
So far, there are two dates mentioned, nothing more will be allowed to be
uploaded after October 21 and all existing data in any of the above
mentioned items will be permanently deleted on December 14.
I have no way of knowing whether this will impact any of you or not, but, I
thought it was my duty as owner or moderator of this group to inform all the
members.
They have a web page that explains this, although it is a little vague if
you have a specific question.
The page is at:

YMMV,
