China is currently engaged in a "cold economic war" with the U.S. (tongue-in-cheek, of course)
Their goal is to conquer us by flooding our country with super-cheap, poor quality products that look just like the real thing.
Over time, everything we use here will fall apart rendering us helpless, unable to compete and entirely at their mercy because all of our manufacturing has been outsourced to cheap-labor factories overseas, all of which obtain their raw materials from China.
Oh well, we have it coming. We stole all their gold bullion. (tongue-partially-in-cheek)
They trusted us to keep it at Fort Knox just before the rise of Mao so he couldn't steal it. About 10 years ago they asked for it back and we told them their documentation was fake and jailed their emissary.
You mess with the Dragon, you are going to feel the heat!
(sound crazy? web search "white dragon family lawsuit")

China is currently engaged in a "cold economic war" with the U.S.
(tongue-in-cheek, of course)
Their goal is to conquer us by flooding our country with super-cheap,
poor quality products that look just like the real thing.
Over time, everything we use here will fall apart rendering us
helpless, unable to compete and entirely at their mercy because all of
our manufacturing has been outsourced to cheap-labor
factories overseas, all of which obtain their raw materials from China.
Oh well, we have it coming. We stole all their gold bullion.
(tongue-partially-in-cheek)
They trusted us to keep it at Fort Knox just before the rise of Mao so
he couldn't steal it. About 10 years ago they asked for it back and we
told them their documentation was fake and jailed their emissary.
You mess with the Dragon, you are going to feel the heat!
(sound crazy? web search "white dragon family lawsuit")

Finally got to this today.
Simply put, that was an amazing video. The only shortcoming was not
mashing the throttle all-out on a closed race course for a lap or two.
The presenter was articulate, the material presented was
educational, though the end-story a bit sad.
five stars.

Pat Mical owns one of Shelby's Panteras as well. He has all the paper showing it was Shelby's car. However, his has the 351C and not a Mopar for an engine. These are cool cars with a unique history to them.
Please post more information on the car at SEMA if you get more. It is always cool learning bits of history about these cars.

Mark

My friend who lives in a small town in New Zealand of 4000 people has a Shelby Pantera with a Chrysler 340 twin turbo. It was once owned by Jim Henson of the Muppets.
We did an article in Profiles a few years back.
I?ve seen it in person, here are some pictures.

China is currently engaged in a "cold economic war" with the U.S.
(tongue-in-cheek, of course)
Their goal is to conquer us by flooding our country with super-cheap,
poor quality products that look just like the real thing.
Over time, everything we use here will fall apart rendering us
helpless, unable to compete and entirely at their mercy because all of
our manufacturing has been outsourced to cheap-labor factories
overseas, all of which obtain their raw materials from China.

Finally got to this today.
Simply put, that was an amazing video. The only shortcoming was not
mashing the throttle all-out on a closed race course for a lap or two.
The presenter was articulate, the material presented was
educational, though the end-story a bit sad.

Pat Mical owns one of Shelby's Panteras as well. He has all the paper
showing it was Shelby's car. However, his has the 351C and not a Mopar
for an engine. These are cool cars with a unique history to them.
Please post more information on the car at SEMA if you get more. It is
always cool learning bits of history about these cars.
Regards,
Mark

During Street Outlaws last night they were showing some of the cars at
SEMA Shelby?s Pantera was there just restored with a turbocharged mopar
360. They actually are using the original engine it had Had to do some
digging to find it
Sure there will be updates on this car
later this week

My friend who lives in a small town in New Zealand of 4000 people has a
Shelby Pantera with a Chrysler 340 twin turbo. It was once owned by Jim
Henson of the Muppets.
We did an article in Profiles a few years back.
I?ve seen it in person, here are some pictures.
