[DeTomaso] Cool GT 40 movie on Amazon Prime

I had the opportunity to spend some time in a friend’s new GT at last month’s Big Bend Open Road Race.

I was impressed of course, but my opinion isn’t worth much compared to the owners.

He has a 2006 GT that he DRIVES!  Too many track days to count. Road trips to Idaho…from Houston!

He drove the new one out to the race from Houston. It’s been on the track a dozen times. You get the idea.

His take on the cars are that the 2006 GT is the best car he’s ever had.  He’ll never sell it and will be buried

in it.  The new GT is a tech marvel. It’s amazing on the track and absolutely horrible to drive anywhere

else.  He’ll wait a couple of years to see what the prices do and “get rid of it”.  Interesting.
