There are two mechanical limit switches in the nose that turn off the motor in the up or down position, and there is a double pole double throw relay that provides power to the motor.  A description is attached.

The first thing I would check is the sensor switch which indicates the
headlights are up. The wiring  may not have been reconnected when the work
was done.

I believe that is on the driver's side. The shop manual indicates the
location. There are two sensors as I recall. One that indicates the
headlights are all the way up and another to indicate the headlights are all
the way down.

Hopefully that is all it is.

Subject: [DeTomaso] Quick Question

Hi,

It's been a while since I have reached out to the list..

My account got turned off because I wasn't cleaning up my inbox promptly, so
it would bounce mail from the list.

My bad.. I am much better now, and magically I am now receiving the list
again.

So, my question is:

My headlight gear just got changed from nylon to brass when the radiator and
condenser were upgraded.

I don't often drive the PCar in the dark, but I did last Friday night.

The headlights went up no problem, but now they won't go down.

What are the first things I should check?

TY!
