[DeTomaso] Pantera on the QuickJack Lift

As Julian, I also opted for a mid rise scissors lift as well. I had looked
at the low rise lifts, including the one Mike bought at Costco.
I am now doing a refresh on my car and will be doing a lot of work under
the car. I decided I didn't want to work on my back as I did when I
disassembled and refurbished my car 20 years ago with it on jack stands.

For $1,499 I bought the Titan 6000 that gives me up to 51" clearance,
allowing me to sit on my roller tool stool and easily work on the underside
of the car.
Because of the 3.5" ground clearance on the Pantera, I had to fabricate
ramps to provide clearance of the lift.

A A I bought a QuickJack lift back in February when they were on

A A for $999 and, after retiring and spending a month in New
Zealand and
A A Australia, finally got around to putting it together and
putting it

steering
A A rack so
A A this will be perfect.A Lift height in 'high' (as in the pics)
is just
A A under
A A 20" floor to frame rails.A I put the rear lift blocks as far
back as I
A A could
A A and there is no instability - the car is very stable front to
back, no
A A lightness in the nose.A I did have to turn the jacks front to
back due

A A the position of the jack points on the car and the 'wells' into
which

A A put the lift blocks but as long as you have the safety lock
bars on the
A A outside, it doesn't matter.A It does have a mid-range height
as well
A A which
A A will be perfect for changing tires or oil.
A A When not in use, the hydraulic lines all have quick-connects
and can be
A A tucked in a box with the pump while the jacks themselves can be
rolled
A A into
A A a corner out of the way.
A A They recommend standard floor jacks under the car for safety -
I'll
A A have to
A A get some taller ones for the rear as mine are too short when
the lift
A A is all
A A the way up.A The front ones you can brace right under the
front of the
A A jack
A A as I have it placed.
A A If you'd like more pics, let me know.A This was the best
lifting
A A solution
A A for my garage space.
