[DeTomaso] Installing early front bumpers on smooth nose Pantera

......... Serial # 4269 was the beginning of the “L” series cars world wide. A get pre L cars squeezed through the process but probably less than 10. Therefore the Euro “L” cars DID have the l turn lamp pod as part of the nose panel. The Euro “L” cars front bumpers were essentially pre-L without the turn indicator mount as part of the “blade” bumper.

Ken,

Since your car is a Euro GTS it used standard Pre-L front sheet metal and the turn signals were in the bumpers. You should have indentations in the front valance behind the bumpers to give clearance for the back of the lights.

If it was a Euro L it would have the standard L-model turn signal pods welded to the underside of the front valance.

If you have neither of these features, check for a very thick plug of bondo on each side where the indentations are, unless they took the time to weld in sheet metal patches.
