[DeTomaso] MSD 6 AL

I am installing an MSD system in my daughters car.
I have heard the stories to place the 6AL box behind the seat, in the front
trunk and in the engine bay.

My question is has anyone installed it under the center council where the
small tray is.
I never use the tray so I can take out the drop making it flat and redo the
leather.

Does the MSD generate too much heat to be stuffed in here?

Has anyone else done this?
