[DeTomaso] Tach signal MSD vs Mallory

 Larry,
I cannot find diagram for the hi-fire IIIA but the typical hi-fire wiring diagram with unilite distributor would most likely work if the tach were connected to the green wire which is the same as the input from a point style distributor. When you change to duraspark magnetic pickup you would have needed a tach adapter connected to the tach output of the hi-fire. I'm pretty sure with the duraspark unit you will need an 8920 adapter for the MSD.
Will monitor this thread for more informed advice.
