[DeTomaso] Throttle cable

Mike,

Yup. Larry’s option is what Lori and I have on our cars. Moving the cable housing forward with his bracket, or moving the carb pickup point rearwards with the carb bracket I pictured, effectively does the same thing. Moving the cable forward increases the angle the cable is forced to bend to go down into the car, so perhaps it’s better to use the bracket mounted on the carb. It’s twice as expensive though, and I have no personal experience with it.

If you have a vac secondary carb, it’s possible you can get away with everything being stock—I don’t know. For sure something needs to be altered if you have mechanical secondaries though.
