[DeTomaso] A quick roundup of January Auction Detomaso vehicles

Having photographed the ‘87 GT5-S for Mecum and the red ‘88 GT5-S for David Adler’s Extreme Panteras book, (being sold at Russo & Steele), I can vouch for both cars. The Mecum offering is a no-nonsense,  no-excuses, low-miles, stock Amerisport car that’s gorgeous inside and out. The R&S offering is a no-holds-barred-no-expense-spared restoration that’s as custom as it gets. There isn’t a single part of the car that isn’t painted/polished/chromed, and it’s an amazing showpiece. If I won the Mega Millions lotto, I’d put them both in my garage.
