[DeTomaso] Interesting Hall Pantera header oddity

You should feel inside that collector to see if you have the same design
that I did in my Hall Headers...

We cut the collectors out as we went to a 3" (or 2.5", can't recall exactly)
adapter for wider tailpipes...

Guys,

You may recall that a few weeks ago I put out a call for two pairs of used
Hall Pantera headers on behalf of a pair of local owners. Two of you stepped
up first and both sets have been delivered to me. They are both intended for
standard 351C engines, and yet they have numerous notable differences. 

Last week I showed the header inlet ports in comparison to stock Pantera
manifold ports. Both are perfectly round which is odd considering the
cylinder head exhaust ports are rectangular:
