[DeTomaso] Single Post Lift

I'm guessing you are referring to the lifts with a single post to one side -
like the one we installed 7 years ago. WE LOVE IT! I did most of the
restoration work on 5332 on this lift. One post to one side, no posts at
each corner. Here is a link to some pictures of our garage...
https://www.snclocks.com/TheRestofourWorld/Autos/RenovatedGarage/ Ours is a
Gemini SP-4. Gemini seems to be out of business. Here is a link to a
source: https://aclifts.com/lifts/m-1-single-post-car-lift/ I believe they
made the lifts for Gemini...

As I recall, you are talking like $6 or 7K. The thing we would have done
differently, if we had thought of it, would have been to bury the base metal
in a trough like 4 inches deep. As it is, we drive over the hump when
parking under a car up on the lift. Not a problem really, but would be
nicer with the base flush with the floor.

We also have a BendPak 4 post lift. It works, but honestly, it showed up
with a lot of scratches and dings - and we got no sympathy out of Bendpak.
They may sell a good lift, but their "preferred" (which translates to cheap)
shipper and customer support sucks. I'd go with Greg Smith if you are
looking for a 2 or 4 post lift.

Hi Guys, I'm looking for a single-post lift. Anyone have any advice to
share on brands/sources - both good and bad ?

Thanks,
Tony
